YOUfF has formed its first social enterprise Earth All Year Round

(Earth AYR) and joined with the local and wider community to launch TREES FOR TEENS, a national initiative to provide carbon offsetting services for individuals, businesses and organisations.

TREES FOR TEENS is designed to rally people in communities across the country to think about the environment and help them to understand how they can best protect the biodiversity needed to sustain life on earth. By visiting www.treesforteens.org anyone can buy trees that can be planted in their honour and in their own homes or businesses. The trees then provide a genuine way to offset some of the carbon they produce, thus helping the planet we call home. The money raised through tree sales, including sustainable Christmas trees then goes to fund the work YOUfF and other teen charities do for young people in communities around the earth.

The trees start out at £11 and this sum of money is split to allow organisations, land owners and most impactfully young people to earn an income from planting the trees purchased. The bulk of the money (£5) is donated to YOUfF and other charities to allow them to continue the valuable work needed in youth services.

Trees for Teens is designed to meet people where they are, with limitless opportunity for participation. The initiative offers easy, actionable, and effective ways to help reinvigorate the environment. To make a big impact, everyone just needs to do one small thing, “It starts with a tree.”
